The Royal Society of  St.George in Hertfordshire

The Society and branches organise many varied events but fixtures on the annual calendar include:

  • Cenotaph Wreath Laying in Whitehall on the Saturday closest to St. George’s Day, followed by laying a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey
  • Battle of Waterloo luncheon or dinner in June.
  • Battle of Britain luncheon in September.
  • Trafalgar Day dinner in October.

Events locally include:

St.George's Day  - Raising of the Flag of England in WGC

England's flag will be raised at the Campus East council offices on Monday 23rd April at 10.30am. A short buffet reception in the Council chamber's foyay will follow. A lunch time drinks party is also planned to be held at the WGC RNA Club.

Royal Society of St. George 125th Anniversary

The Society will be holding an event to mark the 125th Anniversary of the foundation of the Royal Society of St. George at the Tower of London.

St. George’s Day lunchtime Social 
Following the flag raising by the Mayor this will be held at the RNA Club, off Mundels, Blackfan Road WGC.
